Joule: Duquesne Energy & Environmental Law Journal (“Joule“) is Duquesne University School of Law’s first journal-blog hybrid, which serves as a forum for students and outside professionals to discuss legal concepts related to energy and environmental law. Our mission is to facilitate and encourage contribution of written work that provides insight to the local, state, and national community.
As a journal-blog hybrid, there are two components to Joule: Legal Voice and Articles. Legal Voice is a collection of commentaries or blogs frequently published throughout the academic year. Articles are published annually on the Articles page for those concepts which require an in-depth analysis. By using a mixture of writing styles, Joule differs from the traditional law school journal by its ability to quickly disseminate information to the reader while maintaining credibility.
We encourage you to subscribe to Joule or follow us on Facebook and Twitter, and we welcome article and blog submissions year-round from practitioners, academic scholars, and students. For detailed information regarding submission criteria and procedure, please visit our Submit to Joule page.
