Associate Editors

Hannah Dean

Hannah is a third-year student at Duquesne. She graduated from Tulane University with a dual degree in Latin American Studies and Political Science, which led to her interest in immigration law (and her love of crawfish). At Duquesne, she is a student leader for the Public Interest Law Association and the First Generation Society, and a research assistant for Professor Maryann Herman. In her free time, she loves taking long walks with her dog Pierogi, fermentation experiments, and salsa dancing.

Jamie Martines

Jamie is a rising third-year student. Prior to law school, she worked for several years as an investigative reporter covering state and local government in Pennsylvania. In addition to her work with the Law Review, she is a co-founder and outgoing president of the Duquesne Kline Law Trails Club, a student organization focused on student mental health and physical wellness. She is an avid runner competing in ultramarathon distance races. Jamie has a B.S. from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and an M.S. from Columbia Journalism School.

Megan Penn

Megan graduated from University of Maryland with a BA in History and a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. She currently works as a Law Clerk at J.P. Ward & Associates and as a Research Assistant for Professor Ledewitz. Megan is also a member of the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy teams at Duquesne. In her free time, Megan enjoys reading and rock climbing.

Kristen E. Podolak

Kristen is a third-year JD/MBA candidate. Prior to attending Duquesne, she received her B.S. in Management Information Systems from the Pennsylvania State University, and her M.S. in Information Technology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduating from Duquesne, she hopes to practice business law.

Emily Rossetti

Along with Law Review, Emily is on the law school trial team, a student ambassador, and a member of the Family Law Society and Trails Club. She want to pursue a career in family law and has worked as a judicial intern for a family court judge and currently works as a law clerk at a family law firm.

Business Manager

Cameron Gallentine

Cameron grew up near Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from The Ohio State University (go Bucks!) with dual Bachelors Degrees in Spanish and Political Science in 2021. He is currently a law clerk at Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, where he will join as an associate after law school, and the Student Manager of the Urban Development Practicum. Outside of school and work, you can often find Cameron in the kitchen, reading a book, or birdwatching. He is a little embarrassed about the last one, though.

Production Editors

Gavin Curley

Gavin, originally from Pittsburgh, graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Penn State in 2021. As third-year day student at Thomas R. Kline School of Law, he currently serves as the Production Editor for our law review journal. With a focus on real estate transactional law, Gavin is eager to pursue a career in this area. This past summer, he joined Phelps Dunbar’s transactional team in Dallas, TX, as a summer associate.

Mark W. Grasinger

Mark Grasinger is a 3L serving as a Production Editor on Volume 63 of the Duquesne Law Review. A native of Meadville, Pennsylvania, Mark graduated summa cum laude from Grove City College in 2022 with a B.A. in Political Science. At Grove City College, Mark served in the student government and served as both a research assistant and teaching assistant for professors in the political science department. Following the completion of his legal studies, Mark intends to return to northwestern Pennsylvania to practice law in the areas of personal injury and civil litigation.

Brooke McCaffrey

Brooke is a rising 3L and is looking forward to contributing to Volume 63. She previously worked for public interest law firms engaged in impact litigation and legislative advocacy and is involved in the Public Interest Law Association at Duquesne Kline Law. Prior to law school, Brooke earned her undergraduate degree at Ohio State University and interned at editorial, nonprofit, and research organizations.

Jason Whiting

Jason is a fourth-year evening student with a particular interest in constitutional law and legal history. He is a member of the Appellate Moot Court program and serves as a teaching assistant and research assistant for Duquesne professors. Outside of school, Jason works as a law clerk in a Pittsburgh medical malpractice law firm.

Mari Miller

Mari is a fourth year, part-time evening student. She also works full time as the E-Discovery Practice Coordinator at Reed Smith. When she isn’t studying or working, she enjoys reading and traveling.
